Celebrating Artist Vince Veazey

We are excited to celebrate our team member and talented artist, Vince Veazey. Recent news coverage lauded his loyalty to other artists and covered his most current exhibit, displayed at the Basement Lounge in Fort Worth. You can see this show through the month of November.

Many know Vince over his eleven years sharing his expertise at William Campbell Gallery and Gallery One Frames. You can follow Vince and see more of his artwork on Instagram @VinceVeazey.

The exhibit on display through November is text art. Vince says, “With this show, I am asking myself ‘what is the role of the artist?’ I make paintings about the paintings that match the sofa.”

The text art represents the dialogue surrounding the art buying experience. Vince recounts phrases he’s heard over the years while installing art. They speak to the tenets he learned from a professor while earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. “It’s not the artist’s job to match the sofa. It is your job to put forth your work and your ideas,” taught the professor.

He taught Art for six years at The Brook Hill School and was the head baseball coach. A fun fact about Vince, he was formally a head grounds keeper at a minor league ballpark.
